Ed Yuen
Ed provides strategic investor relations counsel on a variety of financial transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs and IPOs, and has advised on a number of special situations, including activist investor defense, management changes, litigation, corporate restructurings and crisis situations. Ed works with senior management across a broad range of industries, including restaurants, retail, business services, industrials, media, specialty finance and technology, and with market caps ranging from $100 million to more than $20 billion. He joined the firm in 2013.
Recent client engagement and representation highlights include:
- IPOs for Freshii, Roots, Presidio and Ceridian
- Working with Potbelly on corporate positioning and investor relations, including special situations such as the IPO, activist investors, review of strategic alternatives and the potential sale of the company, and CEO transition
- IPO of Townsquare Media and it subsequent acquisition and divestiture of North America Midway Entertainment
- Advising LB Foster on ongoing investor relations and corporate positioning during its litigation with Union Pacific
- Investor Day advisory work for Fidelity National Information Services
- IPO of Black Knight and the completion of its spin-off from Fidelity National Financial
- IPO of Covisint, the completion of its spin-off from Compuware, and its subsequent sale to OpenText
Prior to joining Solebury Strategic Communications, Ed spent more than 14 years in both sell-side equity research and investment banking. His investment banking experience includes equity capital markets and equity private placements in the Corporate Finance team at Societe Generale, and as a Vice President on the Energy & Power Investment Banking team at Wells Fargo. Ed’s equity research experience spans Bank of America, Wells Fargo and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and includes the coverage of companies across the electric utilities, energy technology and telecommunications industries.
Ed earned a B.A in Economics and a B.A. in Environmental Studies, both from Tufts University. He also holds Series 7, 63, 79, 86, and 87 securities licenses. He volunteers extensively with Apex for Youth in its middle school and high school mentoring and SAT prep programs, and is a past member of its Associate Board. Ed lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
